Kyoko followed Homura’s gaze and frowned. “Oh…You like matcha rolls?“ she asked a little bewildered. Homura didn’t seem the type to like sweets to her. Then again, she didn’t really know anything about Homura. Kyoko finished off her apple and threw the core off into the grass. ‘I guess she can’t be all bad if she likes some type of sweet…’ she mused to herself.
Homura’s eyes shifted again as Kyoko took a bite out of her apple, and she nodded slowly. Answering the girl caused a small blush to creep onto her cheeks for some curious reason. Perhaps it was because not even her closest friend had ever learned of her secret penchant.
Why did I say that? She wondered. It wasn’t necessary…
Without realizing, the dark haired magical girl had become visibly flustered and was now nervously gripping at the hem of pleated skirt. She hadn’t meant to let this conversation to go on for this long, and she needed to get going before the tea shop closed. Pressing her lips together, Homura righted herself and began to say good-bye–but the words that came out of her mouth were not at all what she had prepared to say.
